Digital Transformation in Early Childhood Education: Teachers' Self-regulated Model for Digital Learning

—The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the world of education, especially for lower levels of education such as early childhood education. It has changed its teaching pattern into innovation by implementing online learning. Therefore, teachers need to have a good self-regulated strategy to achieve the online learning goals. This study aims to describe a conceptual model for representing the self-regulated strategy of early childhood teachers in digital learning using a quantitative survey approach. The data collection involved 100 early childhood teachers in Indonesia with a focus on the analysis of three aspects of teachers' behavior in a digital learning environment: 1) IT experience, 2) IT motivation, and 3) online self-regulated strategy. The study proposed a conceptual model for teachers' self-regulated strategy to implement digital learning. The study also noted that based on the technology perspective, both IT experience and IT motivation play a critical role in affecting teachers' self-regulated strategy for digital learning. The main contribution of this study was to provide an understanding of the importance of a self-regulated strategy for teachers toward innovation in early childhood education in a digital learning environment. In doing so, the results of this study can be regarded as a starting point for incentive future research for the successful implementation of digital transformation in early childhood education. © 2023 by the authors.

Digital disruption in early childhood education: A qualitative research from teachers' perspective

In the digital era, teachers need to behave more positively attitude about ICT. In this study, we investigated the perception of early childhood teachers regarding the use of ICT in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic through a qualitative interview. For the data collection, we interviewed 53 early childhood teachers in Indonesia. The data collected from interviews were analyzed using thematic coding techniques. The research obtained particular information on how the perception of the teachers to digital disruption during the Covid-19 pandemic within five main themes: 1) ICT benefits (8 sub-themes), 2) the importance of ICT competencies (2 sub-themes), 3) promotion of the ICT training (5 sub-themes), 4) the uses of ICT (6 sub-themes), and 5) barriers in using ICT (5 sub-themes). The results indicated that ICT training that supports ICT use among early childhood teachers needs to be promoted more. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on the use of ICT in the early childhood teaching process. In addition, this study also increases the empirical study findings that are useful for reporting the online learning practice in early childhood education. © 2021 The Authors. How will the COVID-19 crisis affect the trend in individual savings

COVID-19 outbreak has brought a global challenge in economy. It has affected badly on the financial sector all over the world. This study was conducted by collecting responses from the employed and student population from various parts of Kerala. Primary data have been collected from 200 responses through a structured questionnaire prepared using Google forms. Percentage analysis with frequency distribution is used to summarize and infer the data along with pie charts and column charts. Chi-square test have been used to analyse the data using Microsoft Excel sheet to test the developed hypothesis and derive conclusions. It is concluded that savings have played a significant role during this pandemic to sustain and also this pandemic encouraged others to start saving because of the experiences they had.

Study on the Usage of Mobile Banking Application during COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19 outbreak has brought a global challenge in economy. It has affected badly on the financial sector all over the world. It created fear in the minds of people to use liquid cash and thus, has led to the adoption of mobile banking services. This study was conducted by collecting responses from the employed and student population from various parts of Kerala, who use mobile banking services. Primary data have been collected from 268 responses through a structured questionnaire prepared using Google forms. Percentage analysis with frequency distribution is used to summarize and infer the data along with pie charts. Chisquare test have been used to analyze the data using Microsoft Excel sheet to test the developed hypothesis and derive conclusions. It is concluded that mobile banking application have created a good impact during this pandemic to safeguard the lives and complete transactions at their fingertips without visiting banks physically. © 2021.
